With the death of Fort Worth native Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters drummer, investigators in Columbia are saying he had as many as ten substances in his system but they are not saying if his death was due to overdose.
On Friday, Hawkins was found dead in a Bogota hotel room. A Bogota-based journalist tweeted Saturday, citing the national attorney general's office, that the ten substances include marijuana, antidepressants, opioids and heroin.
A police officer at the scene was also quoted as saying a "cocaine looking powder" was found in Hawkins' room.
Born Oliver Taylor Hawkins in Fort Worth in 1972, the drummer's family moved to California where after high school he entered the music scene. He became Alanis Morrisette's drummer for several years before joining Foo Fighters in 1997.
