Fort Worth police are investigating after an officer shot and killed a man who shot a woman he had taken hostage.
It started in the town of Troy, in Bell County on Sunday. Police say a man was seen holding a gun to a woman who was driving and led police on a chase that ended when their car crashed on I-35W near Spur 280 just after 7:00 Sunday night.
Police say the gunman shot the woman, then police shot him. Both were killed. The suspect and the victim have not yet been identified due to pending notification.
No one else was hurt in the incident and police are still investigating.
