Two men are about to find out the hard way that a prank robbery will have very real consequences.

Fort Worth Police say shortly after 3:30 p.m. on February 25th, they entered Family Dollar stores on S. Hulen St. and McCart Ave. -- one holding an object in his hand that he portrayed as a gun yelling, "Get down, this is a stick-up," and the other recording video of the shenanigans.

About 20 seconds later, the man with the object in his hand is motioning in a way to say that it's a joke.

However, police are not laughing.

They need your help in finding the two pranksters who should have taken up a different hobby.

Both men are Black.

One is about 6' tall and was wearing black sunglasses, a gray hoodie, gray sweatpants, white shoes and a red hat with an American flag on it.

The other is stocky with a beard and was wearing a red Houston Rockets hoodie and black sweatpants.

They were seen riding in a black Toyota two-door car.

If you have any information, call Robbery Detective Olson at 817-392-4377.
