Fort Worth Police still want to know why a murder suspect, stabbed a man, stole his truck, and went on a driving rampage.
38-year-old Chassity Brooks was at a man's apartment on Wednesday and started smoking pot with him and another woman according to a police affidavit. The woman says for no reason at all, Brooks got agitated, pulled out a box cutter, and started cutting the man's face and neck.
The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Police then say, Brooks drove the stolen truck to the Taz game room, where he back up and drove it straight into the building, killing 45-year-old Jeff Mazurowski who was simply sitting inside.
Jeff's girlfriend Tonya was across the street when the crash happened and says she struggling to make sense of it all.
"He was loved by everyone. He had no enemies and quite frankly I'm angry," she says.
Police say Brooks hit and killed another woman who was waiting at a bus stop nearby.
He was eventually trapped by SWAT in a subdivision and taken into custody.
Brooks bond has been set at $1,000,000.
