The Fort Worth City Council is planning a series of public meetings this year to gather community input and build support for a proposed $800 million bond package set for a vote in 2026.
The bond program’s largest components will focus on street and mobility improvements, as well as city parks, according to city officials. Other priorities include funding for a new shelter, city spokesperson Christianne Simmons said.
The council is expected to call a vote on the bond package at its January 2026 meeting. In the meantime, city staff will fine-tune the proposed budget after a series of community meetings begin this spring.
