One of the five police officers fatally shot in downtown Dallas in 2016 will have his name on a ballpark in his hometown of Fort Worth.
Patrick Zamarripa and four other officers were shot and killed during a Black Lives Matter march in Dallas six years ago. Zamarripa grew up in South Fort Worth and played ball at Echo Lake Park where the city is upgrading the baseball field which will be named in his memory.
He was a 2001 graduate of Paschal High School where he also played ball.
