A Fort Worth woman is being treated for gunshot wounds suffered in an early morning drive-by shooting.
Police say just before 3 a.m. Thursday the woman called 9-1-1 to say she'd just been shot. Police and MedStar paramedics found she'd been wounded in the arm and the leg. She is reported to be in stable condition.
The woman told officers she was in her home on Penny Lane in far southwest Fort Worth. She heard several gunshots and immediately knew she'd been shot.
Police say the unknown shooter was long gone by the time they got there. The Fort Worth Police Department Gang Unit has been assigned to the case.
