Fort Worth Zoo releases 75 snakes into the wild

The Fort Worth Zoo just released 75 Louisiana pine snakes into the Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana, as part of their conservation program to help facilitate the growth of this endangered species.

Per NBC DFW, since starting the program in 2015 the zoo has released 229 snakes back into the wild.

The Fort Worth Zoo is just one of four places in the United States that has the Louisiana pine snake species.
