The founder of a South Dallas non-profit has been found dead in his office at Abounding Prosperity on MLK Boulevard near I-45.
The body of Kirk Myers-Hill was found Tuesday but the cause of death is still not clear.
Myers-Hill founded Abounding Prosperity in 2005 to "reform health and social disparities among Black Americans, specifically members of the LGBTQ community."
State Representative Venton Jones -- whose district includes South Dallas -- says he considered Myers-Hill a "friend and mentor" whose "legacy through Abounding Prosperity reverberated throughout the city."
