Three people were hurt in a crash Thursday morning on Interstate 35W near Texas Motor Speedway, including two police officers. The crash occurred as Northlake Police were clearing another truck that had jackknifed in the southbound lanes near Dale Earnhardt Way.

As Northlake Police were parked on the shoulder, they say another truck lost control about 9:15 a.m.
Police say the truck rear-ended one police car, sending it 50 yards down the highway on the ice. They say the truck then overturned onto another police car, trapping the car under the truck on the median.
One officer was inside each car.
Police say Officer Matthew Koeper, 38, was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and released Thursday afternoon.
Officer Thomas D. Martinez, 47, was admitted to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine. He was in ICU but stable Thursday afternoon.
After the crash, Northlake Police Chief Robert Crawford was with the officers and their families at the hospital.
"Please keep our Northlake officers and their families in your thoughts and prayers. We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available," the Town of Northlake wrote in a statement.
The driver of another car was treated at the scene and released.
Police and fire crews from Denton County, Flower Mound and Roanoke also responded to the crash, which shut down southbound lanes of 35W for several hours Thursday.
Police say the truck is owned by EBT Logistics in Laredo and was driven by Jose Alejandro Landa Juarez. Northlake Police are working with DPS and the Regional Crash Team, which is made up of several nearby departments, on the investigation.
