Four Boyd High School students have been arrested following an alleged hazing incident involving a 14-year-old football player, police said.
The Boyd Police Department launched an investigation Sept. 3 after receiving a criminal complaint about an alleged hazing incident in the school’s field house.
According to arrest affidavits, police allege the 14-year-old was attacked in the locker room. Two 17-year-old students, Chason Lee-Earl Tucker and Noah Davis Stevens, were arrested and charged as adults with felony counts of unlawful restraint and injury to a child causing bodily harm, police said.
Two other students were arrested and face juvenile charges.
Police said investigators interviewed the alleged victim, witnesses and others involved in the incident.
Court documents also indicate police learned that the student reported the alleged hazing to coaches. One coach reportedly told the student the situation needed to be handled in the locker room and did not need to be reported to higher-level officials.
The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
