Friends and family are now confirming the name of the woman who died alongside TCU alum Jeff Gladney in yesterday's fiery crash near downtown Dallas.
Gladney was apparently driving the car with his girlfriend Mercedes Palacios in the passenger seat when it crashed.
Reports say both of them were trapped in the burning wreckage and killed when the car over-turned underneath the Woodall Rodgers overpass near Routh Street.
Investigators say Gladney, who recently signed with the Arizona Cardinals, struck the rear end of another car, causing the fatal crash.
Friends of Palacios say she had been posting to social media photos of the two of them partying Monday night just hours before the crash at 2:30 a.m. Monday.
