Funeral Wednesday for Dallas police officer Arellano, killed by accused drunk driver

A visitation and funeral are scheduled Wednesday at 11 a.m. for Dallas police officer Jacob Arellano who was killed by an accused drunk driver last week.

Arellano was in uniform and on his way to roll call for his overnight shift in northwest Dallas when he was struck by a wrong-way driver who is now charged with intoxicated manslaughter.

Wednesday, there is a visitation for Arellano at 10 a.m. at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Richardson. The funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m.

Then, Friday, there is another service in Arellano's hometown of El Paso followed by burial at Mount Carmel Cemetery in El Paso.
