Two men are dead from what turned out to be a murder-suicide that began in Garland.
Thursday, a man was found murdered inside Don Johle's Bike World on Broadway. The victim was identified as an employee.
Police quickly developed an idea on who did it and last night, the SWAT team, warrant in hand, forced its way into the Rowlett home of Wesley Don Johle and found him dead.
They believe he shot himself.
Johle had quite a career as a bicycle motocross rider in the 1980s. His fame was such that a group of investors, wanting to open a bike shop, asked to use his name for Don Johle's Bike World which opened in 1985 when Johle was barely in his 20s.
Garland police say Johle remained an employee of the shop, as was the victim -- a Mesquite man named James Kencheloe.
Detectives have not said what led up to the violence.
