Garland police now have more information about yesterday's death of a man named in an aggravated assault warrant.
Police are now saying James Ryan shot himself as they knocked on his door at an apartment complex near Firewheel Parkway and the George Bush Turnpike.
Police were there to pick him up for an alleged assault on a woman at that same apartment complex two days earlier.
