A Douglas County (Georgia) teacher is facing serious charges after authorities say she had sexual relationships with multiple students while some of those teens allegedly blackmailed her over an OnlyFans account.
Maris Nichols, who taught at Alexander High School, was arrested in May. Search warrants and court records detail allegations of encounters in a classroom closet, elsewhere on campus, and in a student’s truck at a local golf course. At least two of the students were reportedly younger than 16.
Investigators say some students used knowledge of Nichols’ adult content account to pressure her for better grades. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has executed multiple search warrants on phones, social media accounts including OnlyFans and Snapchat, and school property as part of the ongoing investigation.
The case has shaken the local community, raising questions about school oversight and student safety. Parents and residents have expressed concern over how such alleged activity could occur undetected. School officials have cooperated with law enforcement, and Nichols is no longer employed by the district.
Warrants also targeted items like a “Jesus Loves You” sweater worn in one alleged video and genetic evidence from students. Nichols’ family members have been involved in attempts to retrieve personal devices, according to court documents.
The investigation remains active, with grand jury proceedings and additional warrants continuing. No injuries or fatalities are reported in connection with the case.
