Globe Life Field gets rave reviews from out-of-towners

The job's not done yet; but with the Rangers' three-game sweep over the Mariners, paired with the Astros getting swept by the Royals, the probability of postseason baseball coming to Globe Life Field just went up exponentially.

We know that Rangers fans generally like the place, but what about fans from elsewhere?

A couple people at Sunday's regular season finale at Globe Life Field were on separate cross-country tours of all 30 Major League ballparks.

Kaci Payne and three friends make the trek from Jacksonville, Florida. She really liked the fact that Globe Life Field has a retractable roof.

"The controlled environment is really nice," says Payne. "I will say every time I go to another stadium, it's like, "Where's the sun? How hot is it going to be?' You have to plan for it."

And Payne had to try the world-famous Boomstick, albeit with a little bit of help.

"There was four of us," says Payne. "There was a lot. The pretzel really overdid it, but it was good. It was four of us, but I had to do it."

Troy Huffine of Louisville, Kentucky, also liked the roof, and he said there was something else that impressed him about the three-year-old ballpark.

"You've got this open concept, and I can walk around the entire stadium, and I can see the game wherever I need to," says Huffine.

Besides Globe Life Field, which have been some of their favorites?

"I really enjoyed Fenway," says Huffine. "I really enjoyed Yankee Stadium as well."

"My favorite stadium is probably Wrigley," says Payne. "They have great hot dogs ... the beer snake is pretty cool."
