GRAPEVINE (1080 KRLD)- An Amber Alert has been discontinued for the boy in Grapevine who did not make it to school on Wednesday morning.

Police say 9-year-old Keyes Zavien had missed the bus this morning, assumed he walked to Glenhope Elementary and never arrived.

Officers went searching in the neighborhood, nearby parks as well as Zavien’s route to school. Police were also looking for any surveillance video in the area that may show him walking.

Around 2:50 p.m., Grapeving police reported Zavien was located around his neighborhood unharmed. They revealed to 1080 KRLD that Zavien had been at a friend's house. A mother and child who live there arrived home from school today to find Zavien sleeping on their couch.

Grapevine police say they are still talking with the boy and family to get more details.

On an update posted to Facebook, Grapevine police issued the following statement: "We want to thank our amazing community for the support and help in locating this little boy. We also thank the multiple partnering agencies who responded so quickly to assist in this search effort."
