A Haltom City man is going to prison for decades after taking a plea deal in a Tarrant County murder case.
Court records show Kenny Ventura pleaded guilty in the 2021 shooting death of a man named Carl Hockett who was shot in what Fort Worth police described as an attempted robbery.
After the guilty plea, Ventura was sentenced to 50 years.
Another Haltom City man, Jeremy Perez, was also arrested shortly after the killing.
