A Haltom City police officer has lost his battle against the Coronavirus.
Officials say Officer Kris Hutchison died at Medical City Alliance Hospital in Fort Worth. Last night, fellow officers gathered at the hospital to escort Hutchison's body to Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
Haltom City PD says Hutchison did a four-year hitch in the Marine Corps before going into law enforcement in 2014. He served nearly five years in Haltom City and has most recently been a school resource officer because he loved helping kids.
Before Haltom City, Hutchison was with the Kennedale Police Department and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.
