Police say it all began when they were called about a disturbance at a home on Monna Street near Denton Highway and Broadway. They found a very agitated woman out front and when they tried to talk to her, she jumped in a car and sped off.

Police followed the woman but it was getting dangerous as the woman struck a police car and tried to run over several officers. To end the chase, the police used the PIT maneuver, Pursuit Intervention Technique, which involved clipping the rear of the woman's car in such a way as to send it into a rear-wheel spin.

The suspect's car spun into a tree and officers immediately offered first aid until the paramedics got there.

She's now in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Once she's released by the doctors, she'll be facing criminal charges.
