A handcuffed man running down the street was enough to attract the attention of a 911 caller in White Settlement -- and now the man is locked up.

White Settlement police say they had Michael Sandoval in the back seat of a squad car with his hands cuffed behind him.

While the officers continued investigating a car burglary scene at the Oak View Apartments, Sandoval was agile and flexible enough to to get his cuffed hands from his back to his front -- and then got the window down and wriggled out of the squad car.

Sandoval got away into a wooded area near Loop 820 and Las Vegas Trail and vanished --for a while. He was next seen about a mile away, walking down Clifford Street with the handcuffs still on.

When the 911 caller reported that, Sandoval was back in custody quickly.

In addition to the car burglary charges he started with, he's also up on a count of escape from custody.
