LEWISVILLE (1080 KRLD)- Today, the Hebron High School marching band is embarking on a grand adventure.

More than 350 students are on their way to Pasadena, California to march in the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day.

The band is one of 24 marching and will be the only one representing Texas in the parade. Hebron High School is part of the Lewisville School District. The school itself is located in Carrollton.
"It is a tremendous honor for the Hebron High School marching band to be recognized with an invitation from the Tournament of Roses," Band Director Andy Sealy said in a statement posted by the school. "Our students will have the unique opportunity to ... be part of something bigger than themselves as we share our music and music education directly to a genuinely appreciative international audience."
The parade kicks off New Year's Day at 10 a.m. It's broadcast to more than 37 million viewers nationally.
