A historic Fort Worth fire house has celebrated its 100th birthday.

Fort Worth Fire Station #18 is in the Arlington Heights neighborhood which in 1923 was a low-population suburb that had just recently been annexed into the city.

Sitting at the corner of Camp Bowie and Carleton Avenue, #18 is the oldest operating fire station in Fort Worth.

Sunday's big celebration included family games, lots of free food, a fire truck brigade bounce house, live music, and even a 100th Birthday cake cut with a fire axe.
