WEST UNIVERSITY PLACE — Houston’s iconic Darth Vader house is back on the market, now rebranded as the Black Bull House after artist Enrique Cabrera transformed the property into a living gallery.
Cabrera bought the distinctive mansion at 3201 University Blvd. in April 2025 for $3.35 million. He relisted it April 17, 2026, for exactly $7,777,777 through Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty. The nearly 7,000-square-foot home, built in 1992, features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a pool and an upper-level terrace on an 18,750-square-foot corner lot in the affluent West University Place neighborhood near Rice University and the Texas Medical Center.
Cabrera, a Mexican sculptor and photographer, treated the purchase as an artistic project. He added original paintings and furniture throughout the residence and installed a large platinum bull statue in the front yard as the centerpiece of his vision. The home is now marketed as a “private gallery-meets-residence,” with many furnishings included in the sale.
The property first gained national attention for its bold black exterior and angular design that resembles Darth Vader’s helmet from Star Wars and a Lockheed Nighthawk stealth fighter jet. Over the years it has been featured in outlets including CNN, The New York Times and TMZ.
Listing agent Kasteena Parikh noted that Cabrera saw the home as more than real estate. “For Enrique, this home was never just a residence,” she said. “It was a fully realized artistic project.”
The striking redesign and platinum bull have already sparked renewed interest in the one-of-a-kind property.
