Top stories of 2023: How North Texas continues to develop a diverse business environment

From severe weather and a World Series win, to gun violence and an at-times contentious legislative session, 2023 featured plenty of major headlines. Over the last two weeks of the year, KRLD is looking back at the stories that defined the year.

There are many different types of businesses that run in North Texas, like technology, manufacturing, and software companies.

Some of the major businesses that KRLD Business Analyst David Johnson looks into this year revolved around airports and stadiums.

Johnson talked with Bob Jordan, the CEO of Southwest Airlines, since the beginning of the year. They first discussed about the mishap that happened last year around this time about weather conditions and travelers.

Staying within the airline industry, CEO of DFW Airports, Sean Donahue spoke more about the the opening of Terminal F.

Another top interview with Johnson was speaking with the president of Cordish Companies about the partnership with the Texas Rangers for creating an entertainment venue, Texas Live!
