Swedish furniture retailer Ikea announced plans to open a new store in Rockwall in December 2025, marking its latest expansion in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The one-floor store will be located near Interstate 30 and Stodghill Road and will be smaller than Ikea’s existing Frisco location. The new Rockwall store is expected to employ around 90 people.

IKEA said the Rockwall site aims to improve accessibility for customers in East Texas, including those in Texarkana and as far as Little Rock, Arkansas. Shoppers will be able to purchase and take home smaller items directly from the store, while larger items such as sofas and beds will be available for delivery or in-store pick-up.

The Rockwall location will also feature a new “Swedish Deli” concept, offering shoppers a place to enjoy Swedish-inspired snacks and meals during their visit.

This latest store is part of IKEA's ongoing expansion across the United States as the company seeks to make its offerings more widely available.
