CLEBURNE (1080 KRLD) - It's a case that has baffled investigators in Johnson County for nearly two decades, and they're now asking you for help.
The startling discovery was made back on November 18, 2001, on Briar Oaks Rd. in Briar Oaks.
"Somebody who was walking the roadway picking up some trash and some cans came across Angel Baby Doe (and) called the sheriff's office," says Lt. Keven George with the Johnson Co. Sheriff's Office.
Angel Baby Doe had been born alive earlier in the day outside of a medical facility.
Her body was wrapped in a jacket, and investigators determined that she had been the victim of foul play.
Almost 20 years later, investigators still have not identified Angel Baby Doe or her mother.
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is partnering with Othram Inc., a private DNA laboratory which uses advanced forensic technology to identify them.
