IRVING (1080 KRLD)- One person is hurt after a confrontation with police in Irving.
Officers tried to pull over a vehicle on SH 114 on Thursday but they say the driver refused to stop and led them on a brief chase before they crashed.
Three people were inside the car...and police say that while officers were putting them under arrest, one officer fired his weapon and one of the people in the car was hit. That person was taken to the hospital and their injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.
Police say that person had an outstanding warrant. The driver was also arrested. A third person in the car, a passenger, was questioned and released.
The officer who fired their weapon is on administrative leave during the investigation.
