ITALY (1080 KRLD) - One North Texas school district is extending its holiday break by a few days.
Students in the Italy ISD were supposed to return to class on Tuesday; now, they won't return until next Monday, January 11.
The school district posted on its Facebook page that this is partly due to a rise in COVID-19 cases among faculty and staff.
All extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled during the extended break.
