Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Texas, James Talarico, is reaching out to John Cornyn supporters following Cornyn's runoff defeat last night.
Talarico said Cornyn supporters have a place in his campaign.
He spoke about his chances during an interview with KRLD one day following the Republican runoff that saw Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton defeat Senator Cornyn.
"I want to thank Senator Cornyn for his many years of service to our state," Rep. Talarico said. "He and I don't agree on every issue but he and I do both still believe that these positions of public trust should be about service."
Talarico has launched a tour called 'The People vs. Ken Paxton' following Paxton's Republican runoff victory. He is also calling Paxton the most corrupt politician in America.
"We are going to be up in DFW, in Plano, Ken Paxton's backyard, on Monday of next week," Talarico said. "We have to bring Texans together so that we can defeat Ken Paxton."
Following his win Tuesday night, Paxton said the radical left's top priority will be Texas in November.
KRLD has reached out Ken Paxton's campaign for an interview.
