A judge's ruling means the end of a partnership involving JetBlue and American Airlines.
JetBlue says it will not appeal a federal judge's ruling that its northeast partnership with Fort Worth-based American Airlines is anti-competitive and is initiating a termination of the alliance.
This spring, Judge Leo Sorokin sided with the Justice Department in ruling that the partnership was essentially a merger that would drive up fares.
While JetBlue is not appealing the ruling, American says it still plans on doing so.
JetBlue says it will now turn its attention to its proposed acquisition of Spirit Airlines.
