Democrat Chrysta Castañeda has conceded to Republican Jim Wright in the Texas Railroad Commission race. The concession came just moments ago.
She says the voters had their say, and they elected her opponent. She says she's grateful to the millions of Texans who turned out and even though she may not have won this round, she has made a tremendous impact.
The commission regulates the state's massive oil and gas industry. The three-member board is made up entirely of Republicans and has been for at least 25 years.
