Jordan Spieth tied for first after one round at The Colonial

Dallas favorite son Jordan Spieth opens play this morning in a first-place tie at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth.

Yesterday at Round One of the Charles Schwab Challenge Spieth fired a seven-under 63, tied atop the leaderboard with Sergio Garcia.

One of Spieth's playing partners, Phil Mickelson, winner of last week's PGA Championship, struggled at Hogan's Alley yesterday, finishing the day three-over.

The third player in the Spieth-Mickelson grouping, defending Colonial champion Daniel Berger begins the day at two-under, five off the pace.

The trio will tee off today for Round 2 at 2:06 p.m.
