Jury selection is scheduled to begin today in the capital murder trial of a Dallas man who is accused of killing a man in a cell phone deal.
Police say 22-year old Terrius Randolph used a fake name to arrange a cell phone sale that was nothing more than a robbery setup that turned into a shooting. In August of 2019, 67-year old Joseph Ogundanam showed up at an arranged site to sell a cell phone. He had met a man through an app called LetGo. While the buyer said his name was Anthony Dunn, police say it was really Randolph. Police say Randolph shot and killed Ogundana and took the phone...making it a capital murder case, with a mandatory penalty of life without parole.
Jury selection is to take place Monday with testimony beginning Tuesday morning.
