A Fort Worth woman is in the hospital after being shot by police overnight.
Police reports say about 11:30 p.m. a 9-1-1 call came in from a woman saying she was "trying to kill herself" and that she was "bleeding out."
Officers were sent to the home on Greenspoint Drive in east Fort Worth near I-30 and Loop 820.
While talking to the woman, an officer saw her pick up a knife and, feeling threatened, the officer fired at her. She was taken to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
No charges have been filed yet, and the ifdentity of the woman has not been released.
