News Radio 1080 KRLD will provide live team coverage tonight as polls close across North Texas and the country, then deliver a complete wrap-up of statewide and national results starting Wednesday morning.
The midterm elections will determine control of the U.S. House and Senate. Republicans currently hold narrow majorities in both chambers. In Texas, voters are deciding a high-stakes Senate race between Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico that could help shape which party controls the chamber. Governor Greg Abbott is seeking a fourth term against Democrat Gina Hinojosa in a contest that has drawn more attention than some of his earlier re-election bids.
KRLD’s newsroom team will track results throughout the night, checking facts and confirming numbers as returns come in from North Texas and key races nationwide. Live coverage begins as polls close at 7 p.m. local time. Listeners can stay with the station for continuous updates on races that directly affect the region, along with the national picture that will decide the balance of power in Congress.
Wednesday morning, KRLD will open with a clear, comprehensive summary of the outcomes. The station will cover statewide results, including the Senate and gubernatorial races, as well as the national results that determine control of the House and Senate. Coverage will focus on what happened, what the numbers mean, and what comes next — without spin or commentary from a cheering section.
Listeners can follow the coverage on AM 1080, at KRLD.com, or through the Audacy, iHeart, and TuneIn apps. The station’s approach remains the same as on any other news day: report the verified results and the essential context so North Texans can start the day informed.
