
Three Dallas high schools have returned from San Antonio with the hardware to prove they are state champions.
The Lake Highlands Wildcats, located in Dallas but in the Richardson school district won the UIL Boys Basketball 6A title, defeating DeSoto in the semi-finals on Friday and beating Beaumont United 55-to-45 in the title game on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Dallas Kimball won the 5A championship with a semi-final win over San Antonio Veterans Memorial and a 69-to-48 drubbing of Killeen Ellison in the final.
In District 4A, Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy beat Amarillo Randall in the Friday semi-final and came back to down Houston Washington 70-to-56 in the championship game.
And in Hood County, the Lipan Indians are celebrating their 2A title with wins over New Home in the semi-final and over Lapoyner in the title game.
