Light rain and mild temperatures on Saturday, clear skies Sunday

If you're wanting to escape from your family this evening, you'll need a light jacket if you're heading out for some entertainment. Please remember to social distance and mask up.

In other news, we've got some light rain south of the Dallas Fort Worth area right now. The bulk of this will stay south of interstate 20,

but a few sprinklers are possible with the area to the southwest of Fort Worth. Its creeping northeast. Precipitation amounts will be less than 0.01" in DFW overnight.

Window of measurable rain will be roughly between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.. Some areas could pick up a 1/2 of an inch if you're lucky.

Skies will clear rapidly early Sunday as another dry cold front comes into the area. Highs in the 50s with windy conditions. This cold front will cause temperatures to drop to near freezing Monday morning and just about everybody will see their 1st freeze Tuesday morning.

Afternoon highs next week will mainly be in the fifties.

Another cold front arrives Wednesday dropping morning temperatures back near freezing, with highs in the 40s and 50s by the end of the week.  I will also be watching the chance for precipitation late Wed into Thursday. It'll  be a race to see if the precipitation moves out before temperatures drop below freezing.

In a nutshell, the1st week of December looks to start off rather chilly.

Enjoy your weekend!
