The Little Elm ISD will hold a listening session for parents and others who are concerned about the way police responded to a recent protest at Little Elm High School. Administrators say they want to hear from the community about what led up to the protest on November 19th and what happened during the event.

Students staged a walk-out because they were upset at the way a student's sexual misconduct complaint had been handled. During the demonstration, police at the scene used tasers and pepper-spray.
When students returned to class after the Thanksgiving break on Monday, a few dozen staged another walk-out. Some met with Little Elm Mayor Curtis J. Cornelious.
Tonight's listening session will be at the Little Elm High School Auditorium at 6:00pm. Residents of the Little Elm ISD or parents with students at Little Elm school will be allowed to sign up to speak. Each speaker will be allotted two minutes.
"We know this situation has been upsetting for many people, but we need to come together as a community to move forward," said Little Elm Superintendent Daniel Gallagher. "We owe it to our kids, our teachers and our community."
The Town of Little Elm has also set up a web site, LittleElmFacts.org, to address what officials describe as misinformation circulating about the incident.
