Dallas Love Field is adopting greener energy solutions by purchasing energy-capturing pods from JetWind Power Corporation.

The airport has acquired 13 pods that will convert wind generated by planes into energy. Six charging stations will be installed to draw power directly from the pods. Airport officials said JetWind’s technology provides a more consistent source of wind-generated energy and has the potential to benefit other transportation sectors seeking sustainable power solutions.

Love Field has hosted prototypes of JetWind’s technology since 2021 and is now the company’s first official customer following successful testing.
