A man is behind bars in Tarrant County, accused in the murder of an Arlington man in January.
Police say the victim, Levondric Ford, was strapping his baby into a car seat at his grandmother's home in southeast Fort Worth. Two men came up from behind to rob him.
According to reports, Ford reached for his own handgun in self-defense and he was shot and killed by the suspects.
Using security video, detectives got a lead on the getaway car which they knew had ties to a street gang. That led them to a man named Malichi Brown who is now behind bars in the Tarrant County jail on a capital murder charge. He is being held on a $350,000 bond.
