Fort Worth police say they arrested a man suspected of carrying out one of the largest single-person robbery sprees in the city’s history.

Justin Lockett, 23, is accused of committing approximately 24 armed robberies at businesses in southern and southwestern Fort Worth over the past several months, Fort Worth police said.

Authorities said Lockett typically wore a mask and threatened employees with a gun during the robberies. After his arrest, police reported that he confessed to the crimes.

Lockett is facing charges of aggravated robbery, police said.

Another individual, accused of acting as a lookout during some of the robberies, has also been charged, according to police.

No further details were immediately available.
