The man accused of fatally shooting former a Oklahoma Sooner football player in Dallas in 2022 is back in jail and awaiting a new trial date.

Antwan Franklin, 24, faces a captial murder charge in connection to the May 2022 2023 shooting of Du'Vonta Lampkin. His trial was set to start in September, but police said Franklin cut off his ankle monitor and went missing.

Franklin was arrested again last week.

Two other men were also arrested in connection to the shooting. A mistrial was declared in the case of John Williams last month, and Eric Garcia pleaded guilty.
