A Dallas County grand jury has handed-up two indictments against a Mabank man who got into a shootout with Dallas police earlier this month.
41-year old Clifford Osmer was wounded in the gunfight. No police officers were hit. Each indictment charges Osmer with aggravated assault of a public servant.
The shooting happened at the Red Crown Motel at the C.F Hawn Freeway and St. Augustine in southern Dallas. At the time Dallas police were investigating a major property theft case.
Body camera video shows the officers entering a motel room. Osmer is seen shooting at police before he was shot in the neck.
Osmer was hospitalized in critical condition, but has since recovered and is in the Dallas County jail on $1-million dollars bond.
