FORT WORTH, TX (1080 KRLD) -- A shooting victim has died in Fort Worth where police spent the night canvassing the scene for clues and witnesses.
The first 911 call came in just past midnight saying a man was screaming he had a gun and he would shoot. And then the caller heard at least four shots. Police immediately rolled to an apartment complex near I-30 and Woodhaven where they found a man had been shot. He was taken to the hospital, but didn't survive. Detectives discovered the victim and several others got into some sort of fight with some people in an apartment that escalated to a shooting.
They taped off a segment of the parking lot where detectives combed over it with flashlights while others spoke to potential witnesses. Police say the suspect was gone before they got there.
Detectives are asking anyone with video or other information about this incident to call 817-392-4330. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County at (817) 469-8477.
