BEDFORD (1080 KRLD)- An hours long standoff with a truck theft suspect in Bedford is over, and he's now in custody.
Police say it all started at 12:30 Monday afternoon when they got a call about a stolen truck at the Shell station near 121 and Bedford Road. Witnesses told police the suspect was armed when he went into the store.
Everyone got out safely while police tried to negotiate with him for several hours. He refused to come out, so eventually the SWAT team went into the store, found him hiding in the ceiling, and arrested him.
