A man is in the hospital after getting shot in a rather confusing shooting in far west Fort Worth overnight.
Police found the mixed-up situation at Cambridge Court, an apartment complex on Calmont Avenue near South Cherry Lane and I-30.
Reports say some 9-1-1 callers said someone had been shot but there was no victim there. And witnesses said there was no shooting.
But around the same time, a man showed up at an urgent care center facility on South Hulen, a few miles away, showing the doctors a bullet wound in his leg. He was treated and released by the time officers got there.
But they thought this sounded like quite a coincidence so they let the officers back at Cambridge Court know about it. And when the wounded man showed up there just before midnight, the police had plenty of questions for him.
Paramedics ended up taking him to the hospital and the police are trying to get a straight story from him and from the witnesses about exactly who did the shooting.
