Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker is joining a friendly wager offered by the City of Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers who face the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series (ALCS) beginning Sunday in Houston.
A City of Arlington tweet says Arlington Mayor Jim Ross is challenging his Houston counterpart, Sylvester Turner to a little bet. It says the city council of the losing city must wear the other team's jerseys to its next meeting.
And in a return tweet, Turner says he accepts the challenge.
In a tweet of her own, Parker says to the City of Arlington "I like the way you think. Let's raise the stakes to support our North Texas home team. I'm game to join Mayor Ross on the wager to support our Texas Rangers."
