McKinney Mayor George Fuller is quarantining at home after his wife reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
This is the Fuller family's third brush with COVID-19. Two of Fuller's adult children have already had the virus. Fuller himself tested negative.
During a special city council meeting last week, Fuller got a text saying one of his friends had tested positive for the virus. He isolated for the rest of the meeting.
Fuller says he doesn't believe his wife Maylee got the virus from the friend, but may have been exposed during an outdoor event.
Fuller says it's easy to let your guard down when it comes to following social distancing guidelines and wearing masks. He's encouraging people to stay vigilant as the pandemic drags on.
